►KEYNOTE Building The Culture of Peace: A Call to Action | H.E. Amb. Anwarul Chowdhury, U.N. (ECPC member)

April 8, 2019

“In the end however, this transformation is contingent upon each one of us. In everything we do, in everything we say, and in every thought we have, there is the opportunity to create The Culture of Peace. Let us work each day to realize this. Let us choose strategies that require us to face each other with tolerance and mutual respect, viewing each other as fellow global citizens. Let us endeavor to build an inclusive world that respects and cherishes individuals and group differences. And, let us commit our efforts and resources to raise our children to be the agents of The Culture of Peace.”

Known to many as the Father of The Culture of Peace, H.E. Ambassador K. Chowdhury speaks to the urgency of the times and issues a call for global transformative action. He paves the way forward to a new UN resolution by asserting that investing in the early years of life is crucial if we are to build sustainable peace by fostering generations of reconciliation.

H.E. Ambassador Anwarul K. Chowdhury has devoted many years as an inspirational champion for sustainable peace and development and ardently advancing the cause of the global movement for the culture of peace that has energized civil society all over the world.
