Chowdhury share his short introductory video message at the recent hybrid peace gathering in Ypres, Belgium, titled “Women at the Peace Table”, held on 17 June, 2023. Women’s equal participation at the peace table has been a key message of the UNSCR 1325. “It was therefore with keen interest that I sent the message.”
ECPC member organization, and lead event organizer, Make Mothers Matter (MMM), based in Belgium, in particular its President Anne Claire de Liedekerke, welcomed the message as having “set the event in the continuity of what you [Ambassador Chowdhury] brilliantly initiated in 2000 with the UN Security Council Resolution 1325”.
