Friedrich W. Affolter

Friedrich Affolter, EdD, is an Education Expert for Risk-Informed Programming at the Education-in-Emergency and Early Childhood Development Units in UNICEF NY Program Division. Until June 2016, he served as the manager of UNICEFs Peacebuilding, Education and Advocacy Program (PBEA), which designed education programs that contribute to the mitigation of drivers of conflict in 14 fragile and post-conflict countries. Earlier UN assignments include Sudan, South Africa, Angola and Afghanistan.

Yasemin Sirali

Yasemin Sirali, MBA, is the Director of Ozyegin Social Investments, a network of institutions including the Mother Child Education Foundation (AÇEV), Husnu Ozyegin Foundation (HMOV), Iz Child Centers, and Ozyegin University based in Turkey. Ozyegin Social Investments have focused on education, girls’ empowerment, rural development, health, and culture with a significant concentration on education, from early childhood through to higher education.
