Ali Nashat Shaar, MD, is currently the Director of the Palestinian Child Institute at An-Najah National University in Nablus, Palestine. With 30 years of experience in Public Health, health system development and humanitarian response, Dr Shaar has been part of many programs and projects addressing impact of war and conflict on children, women and health systems in Arab world.

Bekir Berker Artukoglu

Bekir Artukoglu has worked as a psychometrist in medication trials for tic disorders/Tourette`s Syndrome and Generalized Anxiety Disorder. He has explored the potential of cannabis-derived medications in the treatment of neuropsychiatric disorders and has studied personality disorders, parenting and child development. He believes in societal coordinates of mental health and is a founder of Tics and Tourette`s Syndrome Volunteers of Turkey. He is currently a psychiatry resident at SUNY Downstate Health Sciences University.

NEW YORK, NY—Prominent ECPC member, H.E. Ambassador Anwarul K. Chowdhury led the main panel discussion at the 2019 U.N. High-Level Forum on The Culture of Peace, held on September 13, 2019. The session, "The Culture of Peace: Empowering and Transforming Humanity", featured nine high-level speakers who addressed five essential components that characterize the ongoing global effort to advance The Culture of Peace: education that fosters free thought, democracy that embraces diversity, youth empowerment, refugee and women`s rights.
