Ali Nashat Shaar, MD, is currently the Director of the Palestinian Child Institute at An-Najah National University in Nablus, Palestine. With 30 years of experience in Public Health, health system development and humanitarian response, Dr Shaar has been part of many programs and projects addressing impact of war and conflict on children, women and health systems in Arab world.

Bekir Berker Artukoglu

Dr. Bekir B. Artukoglu is a Clinical Instructor in the Department of Psychiatry and Human Behavior at the Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University. He earned his medical degree from Acibadem University School of Medicine in Istanbul, Turkey. He completed a research fellowship at the Yale Child Study Center, focusing on Tourette Syndrome and psychiatric comorbidities.

NEW YORK, NY—Prominent ECPC member, H.E. Ambassador Anwarul K. Chowdhury led the main panel discussion at the 2019 U.N. High-Level Forum on The Culture of Peace, held on September 13, 2019. The session, "The Culture of Peace: Empowering and Transforming Humanity", featured nine high-level speakers who addressed five essential components that characterize the ongoing global effort to advance The Culture of Peace: education that fosters free thought, democracy that embraces diversity, youth empowerment, refugee and women`s rights.
