Bekir Artukoglu has worked as a psychometrist in medication trials for tic disorders/Tourette`s Syndrome and Generalized Anxiety Disorder. He has explored the potential of cannabis-derived medications in the treatment of neuropsychiatric disorders and has studied personality disorders, parenting and child development. He believes in societal coordinates of mental health and is a founder of Tics and Tourette`s Syndrome Volunteers of Turkey. He is currently a psychiatry resident at SUNY Downstate Health Sciences University. He is also receiving psychodynamic psychotherapy training at Psychoanalytic Association of New York.
