UNICEFs Peacebuilding, Education and Advocacy Program (PBEA) (2012-2016) led the global call to action through its innovative research and development of social cohesion, resilience, and security by strengthening educational practices and policies in conflict-affected contexts. The Teaching Peace Initiative, a 2013 peace prize nominee, is a student-driven organization dedicated to fighting bullying by teaching the values of peace, nonviolence, and tolerance to US elementary and middle school students.
