Hi! My name is Parisa Khoshnood and I am a senior at Drexel University located in Philadelphia, PA.
I am currently majoring in Global Studies with a concentration in Justice and Human Rights. My interest in Early Childhood Development first began after attending UNICEF’s Conference on Early Childhood Development hosted at Yale in April of 2016. After the conference, my interest continued to grow and thanks to Shemrah, I was able to continue learning about ECD while working on the ECPC website. I had such a positive experience working with the Yale Child Study Center which has encouraged me to continue learning about Early Childhood Development and Peace Building in the future.
I work with the West Philadelphia Action for Early Learning Initiative (AFEL) that is located at Drexel. (AFEL is a collaboration with the West Philadelphia community and local education agencies to help build awareness around the importance of early childhood education and literacy). I also work with HIAS PA, a refugee resettlement agency, where I am focusing primarily on refugee youth education.
We at the ECPC remain grateful to Parisa for her energy and strong work ethic in assisting with the content creation of this website. We wish her the very best in pursuit of her student and career interests!
