The International Center for Education and Human Development (CINDE), Queen´s University of Belfast and the Colombian universities: Pontificia Universidad Javeriana and Universidad Nacional of Colombia, will host a two days event called: Early Childhood Development and Peace Building Experiences and Evaluation Challenges that will be held in Bogota, Colombia from the 22nd to 24th of November of 2018.
 
This four organisations are part of the “NIHR Global Health research Group on early childhood development for peacebuilding”, coordinated by Queen´s University, that works on issues related to early childhood, armed conflict and peace building, and the challenges it presents for evaluation. 
 
As part of the work of the group we will carry out the event in reference that will last two days. The first day will be an event open to the public which will feature the opening words of the representatives of each organization, with the interventions of experts in national public policies in Early Childhood, experts in peacebuilding programs for Early Childhood and with exhibitions of significant national and international experiences of early childhood, armed conflict and peace building.
 
The second day will be a closed event in which we will have as guest’s representatives of organizations working in early childhood and peacebuilding with the aim of discussing about these issues and putting on the table the importance of monitoring and evaluating this type of Projects.
 
The organizing institutions of the event will analyse the meetings held and the information gathered in order evaluate possible alliances in the issues of early childhood and armed conflict.
