Ambassador Chowdhury is the founder of the New York based civil society coalition “The Global Movement for The Culture of Peace” (GMCoP), advocating for sustainable peace and global citizenship.  Recently he co-authored “Creating The Culture of Peace: A Clarion Call for Individual and Collective Transformation” with Daisaku Ikeda.  

 
Ambassador Chowdhury, former Under-Secretary-General and High Representative of the United Nations and former Permanent Representative of Bangladesh to the UN, is an accomplished diplomat, respected advocate for the culture of peace and women’s equality, and the recipient of numerous awards and global recognition.  Widely acclaimed for his inspiring contributions and pioneering initiatives for women’s empowerment, child rights, the culture of peace and strengthening of the United Nations, his presentation will use the principles of value creating education to guide us through the critical issues of our time hopefully into workable possibilities and sustainable solutions.   
 
This very special event is free, open to the public and everyone is welcome!  The dialogue will be in English, registration is not required.
