Join this inspiring webinar showcasing positive experiences from organizations integrating the spiritual development of children into their programs!
In the field of child development, nurturing spiritual development during a child’s early years often remains an underrepresented aspect. The holistic development of children is incomplete without addressing their spiritual dimension which acts as a pathway to foster children’s resilience, and pro-social behaviors that enhance their ethical reflections and understandings, and promote their mental health and social and emotional wellbeing.
The Toolkit for Nurturing the Spiritual Development of Children in the Early Years, developed by the Consortium on Nurturing Values and Spirituality in Early Childhood for the Prevention of Violence, addresses this gap by offering comprehensive tools to equip religious and spiritual leaders, parents, caregivers, and educators to foster spiritual development through a holistic approach that encompasses child age-appropriate activities and practices.
In this webinar, experiences and testimonies from Brazil, Mexico, India and Pakistan will be presented to demonstrate how organizations and communities are working together to nurture children’s spiritual development as a contribution to their protection from violence and for the promotion of their holistic well-being.
This webinar will:
1. Showcase experiences from organizations integrating the spiritual development of children as a critical aspect of their holistic development.
2. Reflect on the importance and benefits of nurturing the spiritual development of children to protect them from violence and promote their holistic well-being.
3. Share inspiring stories from the field and expand the movement to nurture children’s spiritual development.
