The European Parliament Intergroup on Children’s Rights will that will take place online on Monday, 25 October 2021 at 3:30 - 5:00PM CET  (10:30-12:00PM ET) with a keynote speech from Ms. Virginia Gamba, UN Special Representative of the Secretary-General for Children and armed conflicts – please find a draft agenda attached.

The seminar aims at shedding some light on the importance of the Optional Protocol to the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child on the Involvement of Children in Armed Conflict and to raise the specific issues faced by children in conflicts-affected areas, as well as the particular plight of ‘children born of war’ and the challenges children from post-conflict areas experience for their social reintegration.
