Hosted by the Permanent Mission of Ireland at the 80th Session of the United Nations General Assembly, the ECPC—a global network uniting UN agencies, NGOs, researchers, and practitioners—will demonstrate how evidence-based science and practice can can break cycles of trauma across populations through early childhood development.

Maya Alexis Mele is a multilingual Ukrainian-Italian American specializing in International Affairs and Political Science, with a minor in Ethics. She has served as a UN delegate and researcher for the Bahá’í International Community in New York and as a UNAOC fellow in Geneva, focusing on disarmament and civil society engagement. Her experience includes consulting on humanitarian policy with World Vision International, conducting research with the U.S.
