Paul Connolly, Ph.D., is Professor of Education and Dean of Research for the Faculty of Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences at Queen’s University Belfast. He is also Director of the Centre for Evidence and Social Innovation that supports the development and rigorous evaluation of programmes in education, social care and public health; including a significant number of ECD programmes.

Rima Salah, PhD

Rima Salah, a national of Jordan, holds an undergraduate degree in Sociology & Social Work, Master’s degrees in Education & Sociology and Cultural Anthropology, and a PhD in Cultural Anthropology. She has worked at the Assistant Secretary General (ASG) level as Deputy Special Representative of the Secretary General of the UN Mission in the Central African Republic and Chad (MINURCAT) from 2008-2010 and as Deputy Executive Director of UNICEF from 2004-2007.

Hirokazu Yoshikawa is the Courtney Sale Ross Professor of Globalization and Education, and a University Professor at New York University. He conducts research on the effects of programs and policies related to early childhood development, immigration and poverty on child and youth development. He co-directs (with Larry Aber) the Global TIES for Children Center at New York University.

Dr. Maria Conceição do Rosário is an associate professor at the Federal University of Sao Paulo and adjunct professor at the Yale Child Study Center. She is a child psychiatrist and currently coordinates the Early Childhood Attention Program (PAPI) in Brazil, an interdisciplinary team of people dedicated to developing and implementing strategies for promoting early childhood development by empowering caregivers. Her host is Rafael Perez-Escamilla, Professor of Epidemiology and Public Health, Director of the Office of Public Health Practice, and Director of the Global Health Concentration at the Yale School of Public Health.

Rafael Pérez-Escamilla, Ph.D., is Professor of Epidemiology & Public Health, Director of the Office of Public Health Practice, and Director of the Global Health Concentration at the Yale School of Public Health. His global public health nutrition and food security research program has led to improvements in breastfeeding programs, iron deficiency anemia among infants, household food security measurement and outcomes, and community nutrition education programs.
