Maya Alexis Mele is a multilingual Ukrainian-Italian American specializing in International Affairs and Political Science, with a minor in Ethics. She has served as a UN delegate and researcher for the Bahá’í International Community in New York and as a UNAOC fellow in Geneva, focusing on disarmament and civil society engagement. Her experience includes consulting on humanitarian policy with World Vision International, conducting research with the U.S. Department of States Bureau of Population, Refugees, and Migration, and supporting the Early Childhood Peace Consortium at Yale University. Ms. Mele has contributed to UN fora such as the Commission for Social Development, the Commission on the Status of Women, and the UN General Assemblys First Committee, and has delivered interventions at global conferences on peace, humanitarian issues, and international security.
