Community Participation for Conflict-Sensitive and Equitable Education in Uganda, UNICEF, 2016

The Learning for Peace programme has supported trust building, collaboration and local action to address conflict drivers in education through working with partners to implement community participation and –dialogue initiatives in Uganda. District authorities and civil society partners in Uganda have engaged parents, children, officials, local leaders, youth and school staff in participatory interactions creating a safe space to voice grievances and challenges, while jointly identifying solutions.

The present Evaluation and Learning Brief is based on a participatory evaluation carried out in April 2016 with the participation of implementing partners and District Education Officers from the target Districts.
