Katie Murphy has had substantial experience with the International Rescue Committee (IRC). She began working with the IRC in 2005 as the Education Manager for Darfurian refugees in Northeastern Chad. She then spent several years working with The Earth Institute at Columbia University. Murphy has worked in over 20 countries and recently has focused on early childhood development in crisis conditions. In January 2015, she returned to the IRC as an Early Childhood Technical Advisor. Through her work at the IRC, she is helping to respond to the world’s worst humanitarian crises by contributing immensely to the early development of children.
