Please find an invitation and concept note to a virtual side-event entitled, “Bridging the data gap to monitor progress in advancing peaceful, just and inclusive societies at the time of COVID-19 – challenges and opportunities for partnerships“, to be held on the margins of the 2020 High-Level Political Forum on Sustainable Development (HLPF), on Tuesday, 14 July, from 1:00 pm – 2:00 pm (New York EDT). 
 
The side event shall share innovations and experiences on enhancing synergies across data ecosystems. Presentations will focus on bringing data sources together and creating an enabling environment for the integration and leveraging of various data sources and methodologies. The webinar is convened by the International Institute for Democracy and Electoral Assistance (IDEA), United Nations Institute for Training and Research (UNITAR), SDG16 Data Initiative, the Global Alliance for Reporting Progress on Peaceful, Just and Inclusive Societies, and the Praia City Group on Governance Statistics.
