About

UNICEF is pleased to invite you to the first Global Forum for Children and Youth (CY21) to be held virtually from 7 to 9 December 2021.

In the event you will be joining leaders from the United Nations, government, business, philanthropy and civil society, alongside authors, artists and, most importantly, children and young people themselves, to mobilize collective action and build a better future for all.

The Global Forum, co-hosted by UNICEF and the Governments of Botswana and Sweden, will bring together leaders and change makers from the public and private sectors and civil society to focus the world’s attention on the rights and urgent needs of children and young people, identify solutions, make bold commitments and take action.

The Global Forum will focus on priority themes such as the climate, mental health, education, poverty, protection from violence, and children in emergencies. Children and young people will be at the centre, moderating sessions, bringing their perspectives and engaging in panels and fireside chats.

Here are some of the ECD featured sessions:
  • 8 December Plenary (8-8:45 AM EST) Lifting Families up
  • 8 December Session (9-9:45 AM EST) Caring for Families, Caring for Economies
  • 9 December Session (8-8:45 AM EST) Inclusive Play to Drive Change
