As the global community marks the 20th anniversary of Security Council Resolution 1325 this year—in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic—there is a need for governments, the UN, and civil society to identify immediate actions they can take to create innovative ways to promote and strengthen the WPS agenda, including connecting  local-level work with national and international efforts.

During this high-level virtual symposium, foreign ministers and selected prominent international stakeholders will share with a global audience ideas to address current challenges and make commitments on strategic action states and international organizations can take to support the participation of women in conflict prevention and peacebuilding.

This event will be streamed live on IPI’s website, YouTube, Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn.
