Background
The safeguarding of children’s rights amidst war and crisis is a cornerstone of international law, enshrined in conventions such as the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child (UNCRC), and The Fourth Geneva Convention. These frameworks underscore the imperative of ensuring children’s access to protection, education, healthcare, and developmental opportunities, even in the most adverse conditions. Prominent global entities—including UNICEF, UNESCO, and the World Health Organization (WHO)—spearhead initiatives to uphold these principles through advocacy, technical support, and strategic partnerships with national authorities to ensure adherence to child rights frameworks.
The reality of escalating crises and genocide practices against children demands an unequivocal global response. This conference seeks to unite global voices in advocating for children’s rights and justice, creating actionable frameworks and tools for ECD in the detrimental wars and crisis, occupation, and systemic, long-last.
