2018 International Day of Peace “The Right to Peace - The Universal Declaration of Human Rights at 70”

On 21 September 2018, from 9:00 a.m. to 9:30 a.m., the Secretary-General will celebrate the Day in the Peace Garden at United Nations Headquarters by ringing the Peace Bell and observing a minute of silence. United Nations Messengers of Peace will participate in the ceremony.

A special tribute event will take place in the General Assembly Hall to honour former Secretary-General Kofi Annan on the International Day of Peace, 21 September. A live webcast of the tribute will be broadcast that morning at webtv.un.org.
